Optimizing with Firefox
One piece of software any optimizer ought to love is Firefox. Currently some may say “Why Firefox, it’s solely a browser?” Yes, it’s a browser, however one that supports a big variety of plugins, some of them terribly useful for search engine optimization. Therefore let’s see what those plugins are:
1. SEOpen ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/570/ ): this can be one of the simplest and most used Firefox seo plugins, and has many tools that create it a favourite of mine. So let’s see what it can do:
* in Google it can check for: backlinks, indexed pages, connected pages, cache and PageRank.
* in Yahoo and MSN: backlinks and indexed pages.
* for Alexa: overview, traffic details, backlinks and related sites.
* keyword density of the most used words on the page.
* DMOZ checker: see if the positioning is included within the directory.
* check for robots.txt.
* validator to check your page for errors (it uses the validator from www.w3.org).
There are more things, however these are the foremost important.
2. SEO Links ( http://www.webmasterbrain.com/seo-tools/firefox-extensions/seo-links/ ) is another extension I take advantage of everyday. When the extension si active and you hover over a link a tooltip will appear that will show you Yahoo, MSN, and Google link popularity and ranking data for the URL and anchor text pair. When you’re merely browsing this will be annoying, but you’ll be able to simply deactivate it with a right-click!
This might be very simply used to check your search engine rankings for a bound page, and here is how: write up a listing with all the keywords and keyphrases that you want to rank for, and then link those words or phrases to the internet pages related to them!
Now each time you would like to test your ranks activate the SEO Links extension and hover over the links — you may see where your pages are in Google, Yahoo and MSN.
3. Don’t waste anymore of your precious screen property just to search out out what your PageRank and AlexaRank is! SearchStatus ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/321/ ) can sit anywhere you wish (I keep it in the status bar) and you will receive the precious data at a glance. However this tiny tool can do a lot more than that:
* it shows what metatags a web site has
* checks for backlinks and indexed pages in Google, Yahoo and MSN
* it shows the robots.txt file
* keyword density report operate
* and best of all: the highlight “nofollow” links can show you what links will be followed by search engine spiders — terribly helpful when you wish to submit your site to a directory and do not grasp if it will matter from a seo perspective.
Therefore in case you’re not using Firefox, go get it! It may be your supporter when it comes to look engine optimization!

I had the opportunity to discover something simple, but revolutionary that was revealed to me by none other than Mr. @stephen_pierce (CLICK HERE TO SEE MR. PIERCE SPEAK) himself. Its the concept of simple patterns as it applies to business, life, and Internet marketing. Meaning that all business opportunities, whether Internet marketing, or real estate related can be broken down to the least common denominator of (Who, What, How).
The who is simply who is our target market, if its real estate are targets are motivated home sellers and, home buyers. If we are speaking in terms of IM the who would be determined by what niche we are going after. The what is what strategy are we going to use in real estate, lease options, subject to, rehabs. As it applies to Internet marketing will we be doing affiliate marketing, CPA offers, or selling our own products. Finally the how is what medium will we use to market our products in services. Now of course if we are doing Internet marketing we will be using the Internet, but what IM strategy, ppc, seo, co-reg, jv ect.. In real estate it can be a combination of online and offline methods, which I believe you should be doing both to maximize your opportunities.
Now I know this may seem like a very simple and obvious concept, however it is one that is overlooked all the time. Just look at the number of people out there who may have 1 or 2 pieces of the puzzle figured out however they never accomplish what they set out to do, and it does not matter if its real estate or Internet marketing. If you do not have all the pieces of the puzzle its very difficult to achieve the desired outcome. We should all take time to make sure that we have a clear picture of what we want to accomplish and have the foundation laid out as clearly as possible, and that foundation starts out with the (Who, What, How).
Check out the illustration to help get my point across. You can CLICK HERE TO SEE STEPHEN SPEAK

How To Optimize Your Website with Simple SEO Tips
There are many ways to optimise your website and everyone has a different opinion on how to do it, but there’s one thing everyone agrees on is the two pronged approach, onpage and offpage.
Today I am going to talk about on-page optimisation, the biggest mistake many people make is that they have their website built, and just wait around for few months. Later they would wonder why there’s no traffic heading there way. The website should be built with optimisation in mind right from the start, it might look great having lots of Flash flying around your site (I personally don’t think so) but without your keywords spread throughout your text the Web bots are not going to find it. Learn about keyword and keyword density for your website success.
The best font for a title is H1 in bold, but this needs to be used sparingly as search engine crawlers hate this also. The web bots/spiders read pages from top left to bottom right so I would also reinforce your title again by putting it next to the copyright logo.
There is always a discussion about Head and Meta tags, I firmly believe you must do this and definitely the Title as this does carry weight with Google.
But obviously many SEO experts agree that deep inside is all about getting inbound links to your site, so then the normal question comes to mind: how do we create serious traffic to your website? Well, you can use websites that submit your website to different directories and bookmarketing sites, or you can try article marketing, that has been proven to create good results for many webmasters out there.
The main ingredients for success in any business is hard work and this certainly applies to Search Engine Optimisation. Strive hard to learn SEO techniques and throw in a whole lot of time for good measure!

Internet Marketing Techniques For The Small Business Owner
By Claire Bullerwell
A small business may not have the manpower or resources as a large corporation but with current technology and a broadband internet access, a small business owner can scale up and play with the big boys. Internet marketing for a small business can be affordable and reach the right type of prospects.
The bare minimum for any small business is internet presence via a website.A well designed website demonstrates what the business can offer, will easily load and is easily navigable. The website colors should be easy on the eye, and does not interfere with the text on the page. The aim is to inform the internet user about the business and what it offers. The website must not only sell the business but also itself, making the interested browser wanting to keep coming back to the page.
A website address should also be easy to remember, as well as easy to find. There are many creative ways to name a website, as long as it still sounds like the business name.Finding the web site from scratch needs sound search engine optimization.
Depending on the services or merchandise being offered, a shopping cart may or may not be added to the site.E-commerce payment options would include bank transfers, postal money orders, credit card or checks. For these, there are third-party plug-ins from the internet.
When a buyer searches the internet for a product, he uses a search engine like Google or Yahoo! Search engine optimization is a process where the website is developed and prepared in order to have good web-site search results.
A more interactive internet marketing tool is a blog. A blog (short for “web log”) gives the blogger and small business owner a promotional venue for products and services. In addition it would also prove the small business owner’s technical know-how on the business. Or be a marketing tool describing the latest specials or promotional offers.
PPC search engine internet marketing (ppc=pay per click) is a very favorable form of advertising for small and large businesses wanting to advertise online. It is exceptionally cost-effective and you can test your marketing/promotional ads out for very little money.
Podcasting is a relatively small niche which the small business owner can avail of. However, not all businesses are a good fit for podcasting. A travel agency, a flower shop, or a bookstore podcast would entice the listeners to availing of the services the business offers.A pod-cast on specific topics could help market technical consultant services.
An affiliate network is a more advanced form of marketing tool for a small business. An affiliate network gives the small business a quick way of growing reach and acquiring website traffic. In it’s simplest form, affiliate network is a form of commission based selling. The affiliate earns by either sending internet user (also known as “traffic”) to the business web site. There are numerous forms of commission-based schemes based on clicks, page views and actual sales.
Another advantage of this tool is that the business owner does not have to manage the affiliates, aside from writing commission checks. The affiliates sign-up on their own then can add the ads and banners to their web site(s). There are third-party sites which do the tracking for affiliate networks which cater to specific products and services.
However, there are so many affiliate programs on the Net today, affiliates are getting very choosey when deciding on the best affiliate programs to join in order to receive the best commission available.
It would then be up to the affiliate to promote and advertise the small business’ services/products. One popular method is affiliate article marketing which is really taking off at the moment. This is where affiliate marketers write and distribute their articles to help promote and advertise products.
Although some methods and tools for internet marketing may have different degrees of technical expertise required, these tools are available. The small business owner can choose which tool is fitting for his business in terms of reach, target market and internet presence. The small business owner is not limited to the immediate community and dependent on traditional methods of reaching out to the market.
